NYPD: Queens man stabs wife to death, then kills himself

NEW YORK (AP) — Police say a Queens man stabbed his wife to death and then took his own life.

Twenty-seven-year-old Donne Dojoy was found fatally stabbed inside her home in the Ozone Park neighborhood at about 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Police say a man believed to be the victim's husband was found hanging from a tree in a nearby wooded area. His name was not immediately released.

Police say that before killing himself, the man sent the victim's sister a message telling her that her sister was dead inside the couple's home. The sister rushed to the home and found Dojoy's lifeless body.

The deaths appear to be the second domestic murder-suicide in the city this week. Police say a Harlem man killed his wife, their 5-year-old daughter and himself on Wednesday.
