Manhunt continues for Queens sexual assault suspect
The NYPD is on day three of flooding Kissena Park after a teen was sexually assaulted there. Officers are working around the clock to catch the suspect. FOX 5 NY's Jessica Formoso has the latest.
QUEENS - Police are asking for the public's help finding the suspect who is accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl in broad daylight at a park in Queens.
The attack happened on Thursday around 3:30 p.m. in Kissena Park, near Colden Street and Kalmia Avenue in the Flushing section.
According to police, two friends – a 13-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl – were playing in the park when a man approached.
Authorities say the man showed them a knife and forced them into a wooded area. He tied them up, took their cell phones, and sexually assaulted the girl before fleeing, police said.

NYPD release sketch of Queens sex assault suspect
Police have released a sketch of the suspect wanted for sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl at knifepoint in Queens on Thursday.
The kids were able to get free and run to the school across the street, which called 911. They were taken to a hospital in stable condition.
Police are canvassing the area for surveillance cameras to see if there is any video of the suspect.
Suspect description
The suspect is described as a male Hispanic, around 5’ 5" in his 20's with curly hair, last seen wearing red sneakers and carrying a green backpack. He appeared to have dental braces on his teeth and had a tattoo of a boar or a bull with red eyes on his chest.

FOX 5 NY reached out to council member Sandra Ung, who represents the area. She says she’s been in touch with the commanding officer of the 109 Precinct, and they have talked about increasing patrols and installing cameras in the park.
