Body found in garbage bags in NYC apartment
Police officers performing a wellness check in Queens are now investigating a death. FOX 5 NY's Robert Moses has the details.
QUEENS - A man's body was found on Tuesday inside two garbage bags under a bed in a Queens apartment building, the NYPD said.
What we know:
Police received a call around 5 p.m. asking them to perform a wellness check for the apartment located at 137-17 70th Ave.
The medical examiner's office will determine the cause of death.
There, they found the body of a 55-year-old man under a bed. According to police, his body was discovered inside two garbage bags – one over his head and the other over his feet.
What we don't know:
