Man's body found in garbage bags under bed of Queens apartment

QUEENS - A man's body was found on Tuesday inside two garbage bags under a bed in a Queens apartment building, the NYPD said.

What we know:

Police received a call around 5 p.m. asking them to perform a wellness check for the apartment located at 137-17 70th Ave. 

The medical examiner's office will determine the cause of death.

There, they found the body of a 55-year-old man under a bed. According to police, his body was discovered inside two garbage bags – one over his head and the other over his feet. 

What we don't know:

It's still unclear how the man died. The medical examiner's office will determine the cause of death. No one has yet to be charged.
