Human remains with unique tattoos found in New Jersey state forest
NEW JERSEY - New Jersey State Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a woman whose remains were found inside a state forest.
On December 22, state police say unidentified human remains were discovered inside Belleplain State Forest in Dennis Township. State police believe the remains belong to a Caucasian or Hispanic female, approximately 5'1" tall.
Upon investigating the remains, state police say the person had two tattoos:
- A koi fish tattoo on the upper right portion of her back (shoulder blade area).
- A rose tattoo on her left ribs, extending from her chest to her hip.
A yoga mat and necklace were also recovered at the scene.
