NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - Just hours after releasing a photo of a missing 11-year-old girl from Las Vegas, police detectives found her safe in Manhattan and have arrested her mother, the NYPD confirmed to FOX 5 NY.
Nissa Domingo, 11, lives with her father in Las Vegas. Randy Domingo, who has custody of Nissa, reported to police that he last saw her at home on Feb. 15 when she went to visit her mother, Raenezza Domingo, and then the two of them vanished, police said.
Authorities in Las Vegas recently learned that Raenezza Domingo may have taken Nissa to New York on a religious trip and contacted the NYPD for help.
The NYPD said mother and daughter were apparently at one point staying at the Metro Hotel on Queens Boulevard in Queens.
New York City detectives tracked down Raenezza Domingo on Tuesday and then found Nissa in Lower Manhattan with a friend of her mom, police confirmed. The NYPD is holding Raenezza Domingo in custody on a warrant in Nevada.
