NEW YORK (FOX5NY) - A NJ Transit train that derailed at about 4:25 a.m. Wednesday inside Penn Station in Midtown Manhattan was back on the tracks just after 6 a.m., according to NJ Transit.
There were no passengers on board the work train when it went off track four. There were no reports of injuries.
NJ Transit was reporting 20 minute delays into and out of New York City but by 6:40 a.m. reported that service was back to normal. Tracks 1-6 were not accessible while the train was derailed.
The derailment occurred where repair work that started earlier this summer is still underway.
