Milkshake proceeds to benefit 2020 Women's Vote Centennial
NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - Since 1987, Ellen's Stardust Diner has been serving up an extensive menu of delicacies with a side of show tunes.
With a staff of talented servers who sing while they deliver your order, the diner has been attracting loyal fans from near and far while also catapulting some team members to professional Broadway careers.
The "Ellen" in the restaurant's name is Ellen Hart Sturm, who started out as a Miss Subways back in 1959.
Today, she honors the Miss Subways legacy, plastering the posters of her fellow awardees on the walls of her restaurant.
And just as Miss Subways honored women from diverse ethnic and professional backgrounds, Sturm is now supporting Women's History Month with a special milkshake directing a portion of proceeds to the 2020 Women's Vote Centennial.
Ellen's Stardust Diner is open from 7:00 AM to Midnight from Sunday to Saturday.
