8 injured after construction lift, MTA bus collide in Midtown

Eight people were injured in the collision, officials said.

MIDTOWN - Eight people were injured after a construction lift slammed into an MTA bus in Midtown, officials said.

The collision happened Monday around 8:30 p.m. on 48 St. and Madison Avenue.

According to officials, the lift hit the side of the bus, shattering several windows.

The eight people were rushed to Bellevue Hospital. No word on their conditions.

The cause of the incident is under investigation.
