Manhattan building collapse
A facade of a building partially collapsed on the West Side of Manhattan on Wednesday. The three-story building was surrounded by scaffolding and was in the process of being demolished.
The collapse happened at about 3:10 p.m. A worker rode down the collapse, the FDNY said. The worker was taken to the hospital and is expected to be OK.
West 57th St. was closed in both directions between 11th and 12 Avenues.
Some of the debris hit a school bus that was parked next to the building.
