Man steals car and tries to escape from police by hiding under vegetation in a swamp

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - The Seminole County Sheriff's Office posted a video of a stolen car suspect trying to hide from police by hiding under vegetation in a body of water.

Police say that a suspect was driving stolen vehicle along SR-46 on the Volusia and Seminole County line. 

To avoid the Seminole County's alert helicopter, the suspect took a dive into water and tried to cover himself with the surrounding vegetation.

He's soon "weeded out" by law enforcement and given an airboat ride to dry land and jail.
