NEW YORK (AP) -- Authorities say a man has fatally stabbed his wife in their home in the Bronx.
The New York Police Department says they were called to the home on Barker Avenue for a report of a stabbing around 2:45 a.m. Monday and found 49-year-old Eureka Robinson with stab wounds to her back.
She was taken to Montefiore Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
A short time after the stabbing, police say Robinson's husband, 52-year-old Patrick Robinson, turned himself in to police. He's charged with first- and second-degree murder, along with a weapons offense.
It's unclear if he has an attorney who could comment on the charges.
