Man robbed of shoes in public restroom
NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - Police in New York were looking for two men who robbed a man of his shoes in a public restroom.
The NYPD says it happened inside the Freehand Hotel on Lexington Avenue in Manhattan's Kips Bay neighborhood.
Police say that about 4 p.m. on Saturday, December 1, the 26-year-old victim went into a public restroom on the second floor. He was approached by two men who demanded his shoes.
The victim complied and relinquished his $300 Balenciaga shoes. The men took the shoes and left him barefoot.
The man was not hurt in the incident.
Police released images of the suspects leaving the building. Anyone with information was asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS. Police said that all calls are strictly confidential.
