NYPD officers were standing guard Sunday afternoon outside of Boishakhi Restaurant in Astoria, Queens following what appeared to be a targeted attack Saturday afternoon around 3:30.

"We are not safe. I never seen a scene like that before. I’ve been in business here almost nine years," the restaurant owner told FOX 5 News a day after the attack.

That owner is working through her faith now shaken to say the least.

NYC crime: Man opens fire in a packed restaurant

NYPD is looking for a suspect that opened fire inside an Astoria restaurant packed with patrons. A man was shot and taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Surveillance video showed a man in a red hoodie, with his face covered walk into the restaurant, reach into his bag and quickly fire off at least three shots.

He ran past the cash register giving customers seconds to escape the bullet-riddled restaurant while both older and younger customers made  it out before the apparent target in the red shirt lounges for the door, narrowly escaping the gunman who got out the going the other way.

"I just want peace. I don’t do nothing with anybody," said the owner.

She told fox 5 for the second time in three days that peace she's after, as a business owner, is shattered.

"This is not the first time. The incident was last Wednesday," she added.

Surveillance video from Wednesday night’s separate  attack around 10:20 showed a man with a baseball bat strike a victim before other restaurant staff members intervene, wrestling the bat-wielding perpetrator to the ground.

"If police they took some type of step in that time he wouldn’t be that much," she argued.

"Do you feel afraid and nervous when you’re standing right there" we questioned an employee.

"Yea we feel nervous," he responded.

"I want more security. I need my protection more protection for me and my employees also," the owner shared.

Police are on the lookout for that suspect.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
