HUNT, Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - A 58-year-old Texas man drowned while mowing a lawn.
According to the Kerr County Sheriff's Office, 58-year-old Adam Gonzales had been using a mower on a property adjacent to the South Fork Guadalupe River on Thursday, April 4 and made a pass too close to the river's edge. The mower turned over and Gonzales fell into the water.
Gonzales was pinned under the mower and unable to to remove it from ontop of his body.
Deputies with the Kerr County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to the 2800 block of Highway 39 in Hunt, Texas for reports of a missing person. After an extensive search with the property owner, Gonzales was found in the river. Gonzales' body was recovered by first responders with the Kerrville Fire Department Dive Team on Friday, April 5
Mr. Gonzales was from Kerrville and was employed at the Highway 39 property.
