NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - The NYPD says they have arrested the man who sexually assaulted a six-year-old girl in the stairwell of an apartment building on the Lower East Side.
Christian Pena, 17, approached the girl, exposed his penis and rubbed it on her face, according to police.
The assault occurred Saturday, July 2 at about 8 p.m. on the first floor of an apartment building on Henry St.
Pena faces various charges including two counts of criminal sex acts, two counts of sex abuse and one count of acting in a manner injurious to a child less than 17 years old.
Cops had released video of the suspect on Monday.
He was described as having been wearing a red T-shirt and black baseball hat at the time of the assault.
