NEW YORK (FOX5NY.COM) - The Midtown Manhattan lawyer who was caught on video ranting at Spanish-speaking restaurant workers refused to comment outside his home Thursday, the New York Post reported.
The Post and other reporters asked Aaron Schlossberg about Tuesday's angry, hateful tirade at Fresh Kitchen on Madison Avenue at 39th Street.
But Schlossberg hid his face behind an open umbrella outside his West 60th Street building. As reporters peppered him with questions, Schlossberg stormed off and spoke into his phone. "Please send help. They're claiming things that aren't true," he said into the phone. "Grabbing me, not letting me walk."
In a video captured by a customer on Tuesday, Schlossberg is seen yelling at workers at the Fresh Kitchen eatery about speaking Spanish and threatening to call immigration agents on them.
"My guess is, they're not documented, so my next call is to ICE to have each one of them kicked out of my country," he yelled at the Fresh Kitchen manager. He added that he "pay[s] for their welfare" and that they should speak English.
