In New York City, approximately 1 million Latinos are registered to vote in this 2016 presidential election.

Luis Miranda, managing partner at the Mirram Group, says Hispanic participation in the city is high. Among Latinos, Puerto Ricans continue to be the largest voting block followed very closely by Dominicans, he says.

We caught up with Mexican, Puerto Rican, and Dominican voters who say this election is not what they expected it to be.

Hispanic voters say the issues that affect this growing community are not being talked about during debates.

The top three issues Latinos want to hear the candidates discuss are education, jobs, and housing affordability. Miranda says immigration does not poll high among Hispanics. The Latino vote is crucial. Miranda says nationally a third of the Latino vote is needed to win.
