Joe Gorga says his sister Teresa Giudice faces possible divorce
NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - Joe Gorga says his sister Teresa Giudice will get a divorce if her husband is deported.
Joe Giudice, the husband of the star of 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey,' is expected to be picked up by ICE and face deportion once he completes his prison sentence in March 14, 2019.
An immigration judge ordered Giudice removed from the United States and returned to his native Italy.
Giudice is finishing up serving a 41-month prison sentence following his conviction alongside his wife on 41 counts of bankruptcy fraud.
Teresa Giudice served her 11-month sentence in 2015. Joe Giudice is doing time at FCI Allenwood in Pennsylvania.
Teresa Giudice's brother, Joe Gorga says she will divorce Joe Giudice if he is deported.
In an appearance on Good Day New York on Monday Gorga said that his sister has made it clear that she will not move her children to Italy.
"Is she prepared? She has no choice, she has to be prepared." Gorga said about the likelihood that the pair divorces.
Joe and Teresa Giudice pleaded guilty in 2014 and admitted they hid assets from bankruptcy creditors and submitted phony loan applications to get $5 million in mortgages and construction loans. Joe Giudice also admitted he didn't pay about $200,000 in taxes.
Under their plea agreement, they were ordered to pay $414,000 in restitution.
