A man posing as a customer tried on a gold chain inside a jewelry store in the Bronx but never gave it back.

The robber briefly put on the necklace before quickly turning his back to the store employee, handing the chain to his female accomplice who gave him another and hid the real one inside her shirt, said police.

The man then hands the fake chain back to the employee.
