Jason Pierre-Paul posts pics of injured hand

NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - NY Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul shared an X-Ray of his hand which is missing a right index finger on social media Tuesday.

His cover photo on Twitter also shows a close-up of the injured hand.

After a fireworks accident on July 4, 2015, the NFL star decided to have the finger amputated so that he could recover faster and return to the football field.

The NFL star was hospitalized for 10 days and played throughout the 2015 football season.
