NEW YORK (FOX 5 NEWS) - 10Below Ice Cream opened up 9 months ago in Chinatown. It's a popular place. A lot of people are finding out about the ice cream shop through social media. The owner tells me that on a good day they sell 600 cups of ice cream.
They call what they serve an ice cream roll. There isn't any science behind the name -- they literately roll up your ice cream.
They roll liquid cream on something called a thermal electric cold plate that is at -10 degrees, hence the name 10Below. They chop it and the roll it up. Finally, they add any topping you want.
A video on Facebook and a trip to Thailand sparked the idea of opening up 10Below in Chinatown.
They have made a name for themselves on social media. They have 20,000 Instagram followers.
The line was very long Thursday night. With the weather getting nicer, 10Below will be rolling up a ton of ice cream this summer. But you better get in here quick because they do have a limit on how many cups of ice cream they sell a day because it is freshly made every day.
