Horse recovering after falling in crevice during fires in Sylmar
SYLMAR, Calif. (FOX 11) - A horse fell and got stuck in a small crevice Tuesday morning as it ran from the Creek Fire raging near Sylmar and it is now recovering.
FOX 11 reporter Gina Silva saw the trapped horse and alerted authorities and the public on Twitter on Tuesday morning.
FOX 11 aired the emergency live on television and in a matter of minutes, some viewers jumped into action. A veterinarian tranquilized the horse and LA County Fire freed up a small crew to help with the rescue.

Everyone worked together to tear down a wall to free the horse. The horse was then immediately taken to a nearby evacuation center.
The horse is now being cared for and is up and eating and doing much better.
