Homeless man arrested for rape

Before he raped a 52-year-old woman in Brooklyn, police say a homeless man knocked out two of his victim's teeth.

The NYPD has arrested Kareem David, 28, in connection with the case.  They say he followed the woman near Putnam St. in Bedford-Stuyvesant Monday at about 3 a.m..

He then threatened to shoot her if she didn't follow him. The woman followed the suspect into a building on Lefferts Place where he brutally assaulted her.

The man pushed his fingers down the woman's throat and raped her near a staircase leading to a basement, according to police.

David faces rape and assault charges.
