HCSO: Baby dies after being left in hot truck in Baytown

Deputies say a 9-month-old girl has died after she was left unattended in a hot truck in Baytown for an extended period of time.

The Harris County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident in the 3100 block of Jones Road.

The baby was taken to this hospital in critical condition and later pronounced deceased.

Investigators are currently trying to determine a timeline of how long the child was in the vehicle.

No charges have been filed at this time. The investigation in ongoing.
