Major delays at Newark Airport
The FAA has implemented ground delays at Newark International Airport due to an equipment outage. FOX 5 NY's Duarte Geraldino talked to fed-up travelers.
NEWARK, N.J. - The FAA has implemented ground delays at Newark International Airport due to an equipment outage.
Fights have ground delays until midnight, according to the FAA.
The FAA said officials are looking into a possible radar outage.
"They said there was a problem at Newark Airport, to which we deboarded the plane, and they told us to wait a half an hour," traveler Cari Geffner said.

Cari and her husband Michael were stranded in Maine after a long wait.
"We are on a four o'clock flight, and they finally canceled it at 7:30," Michael Geffner said.
The view from SkyFOX showed planes just lined up ready to go, but standing still.
"I checked in early and I always check in 24 hours, so I was so surprised that we were delayed. It was shocking," traveler Shameka Bramwell said.
"The FAA is slowing flights into Newark Liberty International Airport this afternoon due to a radar issue. For updates, please monitor fly.faa.gov," the FAA said in a statement.
