NEW YORK (FOX5NY) - Two men assaulted a custodian who works for Fox 5 inside an apartment building elevator in Far Rockaway, Queens.
The NYPD is on the hunt for the men seen on surveillance camera footage.
The suspects beat the 59-year-old man with a cane and repeatedly punched him causing a laceration to his face and two black eyes. He was also robbed of $625 in cash.
The victim received stitches to his forehead at a local hospital and was released.
The vicious assault took place on Fri., Jan. 29 at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Beach Channel Drive.
The men followed the victim into the elevator where he was attacked.
The NYPD has released photos taken from surveillance camera footage of the men.
