Former 'En Vogue' star says she's been living out of her car for 3 years

A founding member of the popular R&B group En Vogue revealed in a social media post that she has been living in her car. 

 Dawn Robinson posted a video on her  YouTube channel Tuesday explaining that "for the past three, almost three years, I have been living in my car."

Dawn Robinson shared in the post that she was living with her parents in Las Vegas. But Robinson detailed that her mother’s "anger" was the impetus for her leaving and she began seeking refuge in her car.

The former entertainer admitted in the video that her current living situation allows her to feel "free" and revealed that a lot of celebrities sleep in their cars. The former entertainer also noted that she’s not looking for sympathy from fans.

Dawn Robinson is a singer, songwriter, and actress well known as the founding member of the R&B group "En Vogue," which was formed in 1989 and they produced multiple hit songs "My Lovin’" and "Hold On."

 En Vogue’s success resulted in the group becoming one of the best-selling female groups of all time, according to IMDb.

Robinson left "En Vogue" in 1997 but reunited with the group in 2005 and 2009. Several years later in 2013, the entertainer joined the cast of the reality show "R&B Divas: Los Angeles" for the first season of the show. 

The Connecticut native has sold more than 11 million records as a solo artist and with En Vogue and the group Lucy Pearl. 

Robinson’s work has earned her several awards and nominations, including two American Music Awards, a Billboard Music Award, seven MTV Video Music Awards, four Soul Train Music Awards and eight Grammy nominations, per IMDb.
