Food and music at MP Taverna in Brooklyn
NEW YORK - You don't have to travel to the big easy to get a taste of some kickin' Cajun cooking and new orleans jazz. Chef Michael Psilakis and the team behind Astoria's Greek eatery MP Taverna are trying something new at the Brooklyn location and it combines good music, good food and good company.
Psilakis is cooking up a dynamic dining experience at the intersection of food and funk. Next door to his MP Taverna restaurant in Williamsburg, Psilakis constructed a meal synced up with the set list. This weekend it is all about New Orleans jazz. Michael's partner Howie Schnee is curating the music. It's $35 to attend and the food and drink are separate.
