Florida K-9 Invey passes away after battle with cancer

A Florida K-9 has lost her battle with cancer, passing away on Tuesday morning.

The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office posted on Facebook that K-9 Invey lost her battle with cancer. She was with the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office for seven years as a tracking K-9 that searches for suspects and missing people.

Invey has a history of several successful rescues, including missing individuals. She was always rewarded with ice cream for a job well done, the Sheriff's Office said.

The Sheriff's Office also said that Invey "will be missed by the K-9 Team and will be remembered for her love of people and her desire to do the job."
