Flavor Flav has 'mad respect' for Pope Francis

NEW YORK (FOX5NY) - Rapper Flavor Flav with his trademark clock hanging from his neck, appeared in Nassau County Court Tuesday to face a judge in his 2014 traffic case. On his way out, the 56-year-old was asked if he was excited about Pope Francis' upcoming visit to New York City.

"Honestly, I didn't know he was coming. You just let me know. I didn't know," said Flav whose real name is William Drayton. 

Pope Francis arrives in NYC Thursday night.

"But mad respect for the pope," added Flav.
