Father busted for DWI with 3 kids

A man driving under the influence of alcohol and without a license was busted by police on Long Island, according to Nassau County Police.

Carlos Sanchez, 28, of Plainview was driving near Exit 46 without his lights on when he was spotted by an officer. When the officer checked the vehicle, he found three children inside.

Sanchez faces a slew charges including Leandra'a Law which makes it an automatic felony on the first offense to drive drunk with a person age 15 or younger inside the vehicle, and setting the blood alcohol content, or BAC, at 0.08.

The children inside the vehicle were 6, 3 and 1 year old.

The three-year-old boy was not in a child safety seat, according to police.

Sanchez is expected to be arraigned Monday in Hempstead.
