Fatal shooting in the Bronx

The NYPD is investigating a fatal shooting inside an apartment in the Bronx Wednesday afternoon involving a former MTA bus driver.

Cops responded to a building on East 174th Street the Soundview Section shortly after 2:30 p.m., police said. They found 52-year-old Jorge Vega and two women with gunshot wounds.

54-year-old Susan Trivano was dead while 29-year-old Suchari Guzman was taken to a hospital where she died, Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce said. Vega was taken to Jacobi Medical Center but was listed in critical condition.

Detectives believe Vega shot the women and then shot himself.

A 1-year-old baby was in the apartment but is unharmed, Boyce said.  Officers recovered a 9mm gun at the scene.

Vega reportedly quit his MTA job last month over "personal problems."
