Deadly elevator fall

One man was killed and another critically injured after an elevator fell from a fourth floor in the Mott Haven section of the Bronx.

Video from the scene shows what appears to be a largely vacant building with police, fire and EMS on the scene.

It was not clear why the elevator fell at about 8:17 a.m. or from which floor. Plans are in the works to convert the building into a school.
