Delays on 4, 5, 6 subway lines caused by dog that wandered onto tracks

Commuters experienced delays on Thursday on the 4, 5, and 6 subway lines after a dog wandered onto the tracks at about 4 p.m. Service was temporarily stopped while emergency crews rescued the dog.

NEW YORK CITY - The subway service on the 4, 5, and 6 lines are experiencing delays after a dog wandered onto the tracks on 28th Street.

The incident happened just after 4 p.m. when service temporarily stopped.

Emergency crews were able to rescue the dog without incident. 

Officials have no word on how the dog got onto the tracks.
