Dead body found washed ashore in Queens

The NYPD has reported that that a dead body was found washed ashore in Queens on Thursday afternoon.

According to authorities, the body of an unconscious and unresponsive male was discovered just after 12:30 p.m. on the shoreline near Newpork Walk and West End Avenue.

EMS responded to the scene and pronounced the male dead.

An investigation is ongoing.
