De Blasio to Cuomo: 'Get the hell out of the way'
NEW YORK - Mayor Bill de Blasio has been calling on Gov. Andrew Cuomo, his longtime political nemesis, to resign in the wake of the attorney general's investigation into sexual harassment accusations. But so far Cuomo has refused to step down. So on Thursday, de Blasio did not mince his words.
"Just get the hell out of the way," the mayor said. "I mean, in the end, maybe he could close off his career with one act of dignity and decency and just step aside. But don't bet on that."
Cuomo is keeping a low profile at the governor's mansion in Albany while he prepares to fight to hold on to power. Rich Azzopardi, Cuomo's director of communications, said the administration plans to respond to all the allegations to lawmakers.
"The Assembly has said it is doing a full and thorough review of the complaints and has offered the Governor and his team an opportunity to present facts and their perspective," Azzopardi said in a statement. "The Governor appreciates the opportunity. We will be cooperating."

In the meantime, de Blasio said Cuomo should put an end to all this now and resign out of respect to the 11 women who have accused him.
"And he's obviously borrowing a page from the Trump playbook and trying to scorch the earth, attack the people doing the investigation, attack anyone who might prosecute him. It's not going to work, he's out of options," de Blasio said. "If he was not such a narcissist and actually could think about other human beings, he would say, 'Hey, you know what, I'm doing a lot of damage at this point. It's time to go.'"
