De Blasio left off Puerto Rico trip
NEW YORK (AP) —Governor Andrew Cuomo and other New York elected officials are traveling to Puerto Rico Monday. But Mayor Bill de Blasio won't be joining them. They are journeying to the island to discuss Puerto Rico's debt woes and health care problems.
Cuomo, Attorney General Eric Schneiderman and City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito are among those on the trip.
The apparent snub of the mayor seems to be the latest chapter in the ongoing feud between de Blasio and Cuomo.
In recent weeks they have sparred over Uber, the response to the Legionnaires disease outbreak and the Albany legislative session.
A spokeswoman for the governor declined to comment on the lack of invitation for de Blasio.
