Dallas police investigating officer comments on lynching costume photo

The Dallas Black Police Officers Association has turned over online comments about a racist photo to internal affairs investigators.

The photo shows the mock-lynching of a white man in black-face. The photo comes from Russian government office workers dressing up during at an American-themed costume party.

The association said it knows of at least two DPD officers who posted encouraging comments on the photo.

“I'd like to say that I've received calls from black officers, white officers, Hispanic officers, male, female -- all types. It has nothing to do with race, it has everything to do with what's right and what's wrong,” said Thomas L. Glover, Sr., president of the Dallas Black Police Officers Association.

Dallas police would not elaborate on the case, but said internal affairs is conducting what the department calls an administrative investigation.
