Cops: Brooklyn subway slasher turns himself in
NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - The NYPD says a man has turned himself in for slashing a women aboard a No. 3 subway train in Brooklyn.
Ras Alula Nagarit, 37, told one of his victims that he would chop her up and cut her hand after bumping into her at the Atlantic Avenue station at about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to cops.
Nagarit allegedly hit the woman with something wrapped in cloth cutting her hand.
The woman was treated at a hospital for cuts to her right hand.
Nagarit, of East Harlem, turned himself in to police Thursday.
He faces several charges including assault, weapon possession and menacing.
