Coffee and cocktails at Kobrick Coffee
NEW YORK (FOX 5 NEWS) - New Yorkers love their coffee and their cocktails. Now you can have them both at the same time.
Kobrick Coffee is a coffee shop by day and a cocktail den by night. From the outside, Kobrick Coffee in the Meatpacking District looks like any other coffee shop. But here the baristas are also the bartenders.
Scott Kobrick's great grandpa started the business in 1920. Now he is introducing the company to a new generation of customers who love craft coffee and cocktails. Earlier this year, they decided to offer cocktails made in ways you might typically make coffee, starting with their twist on an old fashioned, called the old slip. They make the drink with an aero press. Head bartender Brian Averbuch showed us how it is done.
Because the cold brew craze is the hottest thing in coffee, how about making a cocktail, the same way? Enter: the Kyoto negroni. And finally, the chemex bloody Mary.
Cheers to Kobrick Coffee. Thanks for having us.
