Citi Bike begins in Jersey City

JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) — Jersey City is making it easier to get around town on two wheels.

Officials on Monday will announce the start of the bike-sharing program Citi Bike Jersey City. Some 350 bikes will be available at 35 stations and will operate in tandem with New York's Citi Bike program.

Citi Bike Jersey City will cost $149 for an annual membership. Members will receive unlimited use of a bike for up to 45 minutes. Daily and weekly members also are available.

Jersey City has added 22 miles of new bike lanes in the city.
