NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - Cardi B faced a judge in Queens on Friday in connection with a fight at a strip club last year.
The rapper, whose legal name is Belcalis Almanzar, was in a courtroom for about three minutes to reject a plea deal that the Queens DA offered her.
Cardi faces misdemeanor reckless endangerment and assault charges for going to Angels in Flushing with her entourage on Aug. 29, 2018, and allegedly attacking two bartenders, reportedly known as Jade and Baddie G.
Police said that Cardi and Jade were arguing and then a fight broke out. Authorities have accused Cardi of throwing a bottle at Jade and Baddie G and then telling her entourage to attack them in apparent retaliation for Jade sleeping with her husband, Offset.
People threw chairs, bottles and hookah pipes, slightly injuring one of the bartenders, cops said.
But Cardi's lawyers said that didn't hurt anyone.
In January, a judge ordered her to stay away from the bartenders.
In February, Cardi won her first Grammy. She is the first solo woman to win best rap album.
