Partial roof collapse in Brooklyn
Part of a roof partially collapsed in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. FOX 5 NY's Stephanie Bertini has the details.
BROOKLYN - The roof of a five-story building partially collapsed on Sunday afternoon in Brooklyn, crashing onto a sidewalk shed below, the FDNY said.
The collpase happened on Roebling Street, between Metropolitan and Hope, in the Williamsburg section.
In a statement, a spokesperson for the Department of Buildings said: "Upon arrival to the scene, our inspectors found that portion of the parapet wall at the roof level of the five-story building had collapsed and fallen on top of a sidewalk shed below."
According to officials, the building was vacant. No injuries were reported.
