NYPD searching for carjacking suspect

The NYPD is searching for a suspect connected to a carjacking in Brooklyn on June 6.

Police are on the hunt for a heartless carjacker who stole a 73-year-old woman's car with her dog still inside.  They released a frightening video of the incident.

According to the NYPD, at around 1:15 p.m. on June 6 the woman was sitting inside of her parked 2008 red Honda near the intersection of Mill Avenue and Mayfair Drive in the Mill Basin section of Brooklyn when the man approached her.

Police say the man opened the woman's driver's side door, grabbed the woman, and threw her on the ground.  As the woman tried to pull herself back into the car, he drove away.

The victim's dog, a toy Poodle named Luna was inside the car at the time of the carjacking.

The woman was treated for a head injury at an area hospital and is in stable condition. 

On Saturday, they released new footage of the man wanted for the crime.

Surveillance footage of Brooklyn carjacking suspect

The NYPD has released surveillance footage of a suspect wanted in connection to a carjacking in Brooklyn.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
