Woman killed in Bronx shooting

A 39-year-old woman was shot and two other people were injured in a shooting just after 4 p.m. in the Mott Haven section of the Bronx.

A woman was shot dead, and two other people were injured during a drive-by shooting in broad daylight in the Mott Haven section of the Bronx. The incident Monday was one of three deadly shootings within six hours across the city.

The NYPD responded to a 911 call about two people shot in front of 730 East 137th Street. When cops arrived, they found three victims. 

Gloria Ortiz, 39, of Randall Avenue was shot in the head and rushed to Lincoln Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

A 32-year-old man was shot in the back and taken to Lincoln Hospital in stable condition.

NYC shootings

Three separate deadly shootings happened in New York City in the span of six hours on Monday, police said.

A 23-year-old man was shot in the back and was taken to Harlem Hospital in stable condition.

At about 10 p.m., Christian Bueno, 39, a delivery worker was shot in the torso and killed while on a scooter on Sedgwick Avenue in Kingsbridge Heights, according to police. 

Thirty minutes later, Diquann Orr, 33, was shot and killed outside a restaurant on Linden Avenue in St. Albans, Queens.

No arrests were made in any of the shootings.
