14-year-old shot while boarding bus in Harlem
In yet another shooting involving teenagers in New York City, a 14-year-old was grazed by a bullet when shots rang out while he was boarding a MTA bus in Harlem.
NEW YORK - A 14-year-old boy and an MTA bus driver were rushed to a hospital after the teen was grazed in the head by a bullet. The bus was hit multiple times by bullets.
The shocking incident happened on Thursday as the boy was boarding an M1 bus heading eastbound at 139th St. and Lenox Ave. at about 10 a.m.
The gunman appeared to intentionally shoot at the boy, grazing him in the left side of the head, said police during a briefing near the scene.

One round struck the protective shield inside the bus while a second round struck the windshield directly in front of the bus driver.
The boy was rushed to Harlem Hospital in stable condition. The 39-year-old bus driver was treated at the hospital for minor injuries to his hand and trauma. He's been on the job for 4 ½ years.

Boy grazed in head by stray bullet
A 14-year-old boy boarding an MTA bus in Harlem was grazed in the head by a stray bullet, said police.
Investigators were working to determine if the shooting was gang-related.
"This year we carried over 270 million trips with virtually no incident," said MTA President Craig Cipriano.
Last week, two teenage boys were hospitalized after a likely gang-related shooting inside a restaurant in Harlem.
The gunman ran off and has not been arrested. Police did not release a description on the suspect.
The NYPD said the 16-year-old and the 13-year-old were eating at Mama's Fried Chicken on Frederick Douglas Boulevard at about 8:30 p.m. when a dispute broke out and another individual shot the teens.
