Billy Joel band member Mike DelGuidice plays benefit show
NEW YORK (FOX 5 NEWS) - Billy Joel band member Mike DelGuidice says he didn't think twice when he got the phone call to perform at a benefit concert.
He is volunteering his time at a benefit concert with his Billy Joel tribute band, Big Shot, to raise funds to support Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and 852-NARC, the Suffolk County Police narcotics tip hotline for members of the public to provide anonymous information on crimes to police.
The heroine problem on Long Island is serious. It has claimed the lives of many young people.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers put the concert together to help fight the opioid crisis. The hotline
852-NARC was set up in late March and in no time the lines were ringing.
DelGuidice told Fox 5 the cause is personal to him.
