Baby abducted by sex offender dad found safe: Cops

A seven-month-old girl believed to have been kidnaped by her father, a registered sex offender,  was found safe Tuesday, according to police in Virginia. Her father was arrested.

Carl Ray Kennedy, 51, snatched Emma Grace Kennedy at knifepoint after attacking her mother Sunday night at a gas station, according to Danville Police.

The child was the subject of an Amber Alert and police feared she was in extreme danger.

Kennedy, who had been out of jail on a $250,000 bond, was re-arrested in Randleman, North Carolina by the Danville Police, FBI, Randolph County Sheriff’s Office and U.S. Secret Service.

Emma Grace Kennedy appeared to be in good health and was being evaluated at a local hospital, according to police. The mother of the child was notified.
