Avril Lavigne had a few words to say to Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg after he took a jab at the band Nickelback.
Zuckerberg advertised his latest piece of technology, the AI Jarvis.
In the advertisement video, Zuckerberg demonstrated how Jarvis was able to assist him in everyday life.
He also took a jab at Canadian band, Nickelback, claiming the band does not have good songs.
Obviously, that portion received backlash from some Nickelback fans, but one person, in particular, had something to say.
Singer-songwriter Avril Lavigne tweeted out a message to Zuckerberg claiming he was bullying the band.
Lavigne, who was formerly married to Nickelback band member, Chad Kroeger, discussed how Zuckerberg’s joke can be taken for promoting bullying.
She wrote, “Dear Mark, Many people use your products- some people love them and some people don’t. Either way, you’re allowed your musical opinion however; your jab at Nicelback is in poor taste. When you have a voice like yours, you may want to consider being more responsible with promoting bullying, especially given what’s going on in the world today. #SayNoToBullying #TheJokeIsOld #NickelbackHasSoldOver50MillionAlbums”
Mark Zuckerberg has not yet responded to Lavigne’s statement.
